Governor Blanco announces Appointments, Executive order, and Proclamations 


BATON ROUGE-Governor Kathleen Babineaux Blanco has made the following appointments: 

Bayou D'Arbonne Lake Watershed District 
Micki W. Horrell, Farmerville

Louisiana Folklife Commission 
Allison H. Pena, Mandeville 

New Orleans Center for Creative Arts/Riverfront Board of Directors
Anne W. Gisleson, New Orleans
Claudette Sislo, Gretna

State Library Board of Commissioners 
Tania C. Tetlow, New Orleans 

Governor Blanco announces the following Executive Order: 

Executive Order NO. KBB 2006-40- for the commandeering of property for the Lake Cataouatche Levee enlargement project in Jefferson parish.

Governor Blanco announces the following Proclamations: 

Proclamation NO. 55 KBB 2006- for a special election in the office of Coroner, Vernon parish, due to the resignation of the Honorable Richard J. Allen; 

Proclamation NO. 56 KBB 2006- for a special election in the office of Justice of the Peace, Justice of the Peace Ward 4, Natchitoches parish, due to the death of the Honorable Hammond Hassan; 

Proclamation NO. 57 KBB 2006- declaring Friday, November 24, 2006 as Acadian Day in the State of Louisiana. It shall be observed as a legal holiday; 

Proclamation NO. 58 KBB 2006- declaring Tuesday, December 26, 2006 a legal holiday in the State of Louisiana; and 

Proclamation NO. 59 KBB 2006- declaring Tuesday, January 2, 2007 a legal holiday in the State of Louisiana.
