I keep watching the updated demo list, but it still seems rather incomplete.
I guess it will keep growing?
One house here is being prepared for demo but is not on the list, telling me
there may be more that are not on there but will be removed.
We have several houses surrounding us, some not yet gutted, none with all
the windows, most with no windows. some empty some gutted, some pressure
washed, most with weeds high either in front and back or in the back. One
with an abandonded fema trailer.
None of these owners are coming back. Most of them bought houses elsewhere
and are settled and have no intention of returning. Some have filed
necessary permits to stay off the demo list but have not been back to fix up
anything else on their property. 
I hope that once the worst cases are taken care off, these newly neglected
houses will be addressed as well. I hope we dont have to live surrounded by
empty smelly shells with weeds for another year, worrying about a
Northwestern to pick up roof and debris as it howls through there. 
 
Gaby, impatient about progress, uneasy about 'legal neglect' of filing
papers and not following through. Especially aggravated with the ungutted
smelly house and those left fema trailers, that draw strangers here on a
daily basis, rooting in these properties. 
Yet I am glad to be home and moving forward.After all, we now have a
mcdonald and soon three grocery stores in the parish. Wow.
