[StBernard] Home owners insurance

I bought my home in Pearl River last October and I had State Farm in St. 
Bernard and didn't cancel it and they let me buy homeowners in St. Tammany.

I also have car insurance with them and the people I bought the house from 
also had State Farm.  That seemed to make a difference for some reason, they

didn't consider it a "new" policy.  They won't write new policies from State

Farm but they will write you a policy through the Fair Plan. I think it 
depends on your circumstances and it seems maybe they have changed their 
rules recently.  We are selling one of the properties we have in St. Bernard

and State Farm will not sell the new buyers insurance on that house. They 
have car insurance with State Farm.
