Thank you Gaby and Jill for your support of our library.  I didn't even
think about the microfilm services.  Probably because I still hadn't made
friends with the brand new microfilm reader we had received a while before
the storm!  It's bad when machines get the best of you--Ha.  
 
Gaby, you have a great idea with the archiving of our history.  One of the
presenters at the summit I attended told the story of the new Hattiesburg
(MS) Public Library.  Inside the library there is a room dedicated to the
history of Mississippi.  I think that would be great.  We lost so much--it
will take our community to rebuild our vertical file collection.
 
And yes, Jill, my favorite part was our children's activities.  We had one
of the best Summer Reading Programs in the state--if I do say so myself!  I
have run into so many families who have attended other libraries since the
storm and they all said how much then miss the way we did things.  It will
take a while, but I know we can do it again!  Laura and Tim and Harvey the
Rabbit are just waiting for us to call!
