Appointment was 8 weeks ago so I continued to check the status of the
evaluation via their website.  Having previously seen the status as "under
evaluation", imagine my surprise when today my status was that no
application had been submitted, no appointment had been made, nothing in
progress.  I called the LRA hotline and the rep said that it was all still
in the system and that I was still under evaluation. I suggested that he let
his supervisor know that at this one applicant has gone from a correct
status via the internet to a status that says they have nothing from you.
He said to ignore the website and keep calling back. I asked if it was just
my application and he said the same answer, just keep calling back. I again
suggested he notify his supervisor because the process is not supposed to
put thousands of phone calls to the hotline to check on status but make it
available on the internet. He said to just call back. Realizing how useless
this conversation was, I thanked him and hung up.  While at the LRA office
today helping my parents through their appointment, I asked the rep about
the internet to check on status. Guess what she said. Yes, her answer was to
call the hotline because the internet status website doesn't always work.
 
So, don't panic if the website says they have nothing from you. Just  accept
that the State has paid for applicants for a website that gives up to date
info and instead the State got a dysfunctional website and you have to call
them back, and call them back, and call them back. ddk
