THE ROAD HOME HOSTS INFORMATION SESSION IN NEW ORLEANS ON THE SMALL RENTAL PROPERTY PROGRAM

BATON ROUGE, La., Feb. 1, 2007-An information session to address eligibility for The Road Home Small Rental Property program will be held at the First Pilgrim Baptist Church in New Orleans on Saturday Feb. 3. Questions about how rounds are created, how funding is distributed and how to apply will be addressed. Small Rental Property program representatives will be on hand to assist in application completion. Program representative from the Homeowner program will also be present. 

This seminar is free and open to the public.

The Small Rental Property program is designed to help renters of Louisiana affected by Hurricane Katrina or Rita get back into affordable homes as quickly and fairly as possible. Working together, Governor Kathleen Babineaux Blanco, the Louisiana Recovery Authority and the Office of Community Development created The Small Rental Property program with the approval of the Louisiana Legislature. The program provides financing to repair and reconstruct affordable rental housing for returning displaced residents.
