[StBernard] Street Lights

The parish is in the process of bidding the work to replace the damaged or
missing non-wooden poles with lights. Craig can probably confirm or deny
this. If the street light issue involves a wooden pole then you can call
Entergy and they will repair or replace the light. Entergy replaced the
pole on the side of my house (I live on a corner) but didn't replace the
light. I call them to report this and the light was up and working that
afternoon. The are not responsible for the metal poles. I don't understand
why we just don't re-allocate/relocate the poles from less populated areas
to areas with people. When the new ones come in, they can just replace the
ones that were lost. We have at least 7-10 families working/living in homes
on Karen Drive between St.Avide and Josephine and we have just one light
working. We need creative solutions for the problems that exist today.
Street and stop signs represent safety issues and should be addressed as
expeditiously a process as possible.
