Craig -

Thanks for clearing up some of the matters I addressed to you in my previous
email. I will be one of the first to admit with the announcement of the
$1,000 fine this weekend showed much progress in the parish with grass
cutting. We own a double (in between jackson and Packenham and went there
Friday past to groom (if you will) our lawn. We have been there previously
and intend to keep up with the property. Not doing so is not only unfair to
any neighbors that may be returning but also to our own piece of property.
Then on Saturday we went to my 85 year-old dad's house in Buccaneer Villa
South to groom and trip his property. I was very discouraged to see much
debris there that wasn't ours. Last week when my husband passed my dad's
house the debris that I'm talking about is coming from a piece of property
across that someone sold to an out-of-town outfit who is buying property,
fixing up and selling. My husband stopped by and asked if they were
responsible for putting their debris on my dad's and they said yes. He
asked them to not to that any more as it should be the contractor's
responsibility to dispose of the rebuilding debris - and not mine or the
parish's responsibility. I know when we had a house build some years ago
our contractor took care of disposing of his debris.

After thoroughly cleaning out the property in Buccaneer Villa, many dead
boxwoods and grass debris was put outside for trash collection. I will go
by that area later this week and if the contractor insists on depositing his
debris on our property I'd ask if you could tell me which steps I could
take. Or does the parish not mind picking up these types of trash. If the
latter is the case I won't bother to ask him not to do it any longer. Just
really trying here to do what's right.

And yes, next time I see you I'll introduce myself. In fact - I told you
hello last Friday in Rocky's and should have done so at that time but
didn't. Figured you'd want to enjoy your lunch without being bestered - you
probably get enough of that already. I'll be looking forward to that
introduction at the next council meeeting.

Thanks again for your response.

Khaki
