if you use plywood, try to have another front window space that can be seen
through.  If you choose another material like a clear film that would work
as well.

What is something sufficient to put over a 5'x3' picture window which was
shattered monthes after the storm?  No way I'm spending the money to replace
it right now until it's lived in.  Will a piece of ply wood be sufficient?
It's on the front of the house.
