	all the way up on the 10th floor of my building.  I am not sure of
the
	siren's locations, so I can't say how far you can hear it, but I
would not
	want to live right next to it!
	
	



Being raised inGermany post WWII I remember the sirens going off for testing
purposes. I am too young to have heard the real alarm. I remember them quite
loud as well, a cutting sound.  Gaby
