Rocky & Carlo's reopens to crowds

Rocky and Carlo's restaurant reopened Feb. 8 in Chalmette and was packed
almost instantly. CityBusiness food critic Tom Fitzmorris reports the menu
is unchanged from its pre-Katrina emphasis on classic platters and Italian
dishes, including macaroni and cheese with either red or brown gravy. 
Rocky and Carlo's is one of the few restaurants to reopen in St. Bernard
Parish since Hurricane Katrina. 

Rocky and Carlo's, 613 W. St. Bernard Highway in Chalmette, can be reached
at 279-8323. Open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
