The Road Home to Open Mobile Housing Assistance Center in Dallas/Ft. Worth

BATON ROUGE, La., Feb. 28, 2007 - The Road Home program will be hosting an Open House to introduce the DFW Mobile Housing Assistance Center on Saturday, March 3, 2007, at the Ruthe Jackson Center from 3pm - 7pm. The mobile housing center will be located at 3113 S Carrier Pkwy, Grand Prairie, TX 75052. Homeowners are encouraged to come out and meet with the Road Home staff, tour the facility and receive more details about the application and closing process.

Homeowners can start their applications to The Road Home by visiting www.road2LA.org <http://www.road2la.org>  or by calling 1-888-ROAD-2-LA (1-888-762-3252 or TTY: 1-800-566-4224). 

"We are making every effort to reach all eligible homeowners and ensure that they can move through the system as quickly as possible," said Michael Taylor, director of the Disaster Recovery Unit, Office of Community Development. It's vitally important that Louisiana homeowners who are living in the Dallas area call the program to file their applications and make an appointment at the Dallas center."


Louisiana residents currently residing in the Dallas-Forth Worth area or other parts of Texas who have applied to the program, but have not yet scheduled their appointments may do so by calling 1-888-ROAD-2-LA and choosing prompt #4. Homeowners who have made appointments at a Louisiana Center have the option to reschedule those appointments at the Dallas/Ft. Worth location by also calling that number.
