Free Voluntary Demolition


The City of New Orleans has extended the deadline for voluntary demolition
applications through August 29. Sign up to have your home or commercial
property demolished free of charge. To qualify, the property must be in
Orleans Parish. You must be the owner of the property and have received no
proceeds from your insurance company for the demolition of the property.

Project LAST - Children's Mental Health


Project Last, a program offered by the Children's Bureau, offers specialized
Grief and Trauma Group and Individual Counseling to school aged children
affected by trauma, loss, or disaster. Project Last has been shown to be
very effective in reducing symptoms in children who are in crisis due to
trauma and community violence. The program is available to Orleans and
Jefferson Parish children ages infant to 17 who are survivors of traumatic
events, witnesses to acts of extreme violence, or victims of violence. For
