Youth Leadership Camp


YOUTHanasia Foundation, Inc. is currently accepting applications for the
Young Artist Leadership Camp 2007. The camp is exclusively for teenagers in
grades 8-12. Camp will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p. m., June 4 through August 10,
2007, at The Teen Center For Non-Violence located at 2031 Hancock St. in
Gretna. Teens will develop life skills, such as networking and leadership,
while participating in activities such as drama, music, hip-hop poetry,
dance, and community performances. The deadline for all applications is June

HANO Voucher Program - Become a Homeowner


HANO offers a program in which Section 8 vouchers can be used to purchase a
home. Participants must become financially fit, be a first-time homeowner,
be employed for at least a year, satisfactorily complete HANO's
pre-assistance homeownership and housing counseling program, attend
post-purchase counseling and monthly homebuyer club meetings, and earn an
annual salary of at least $10,300. For more information call Audrey
