There is a Bio remediation Group through Common Ground Relief that has soil testings grants from both Tulane University and Xavier University.  St Bernard Parish Residents who would still like their soils tested for heavy metals (lead, arsenic) and / or crude oil should contact this group. They can be reached at 504/913-5635 or 617/888-5063.

They are also helping residents with Bioremediation and Phytoremediation (removing toxins with plants).  This is an interesting website with more information for Home and Soil Health.
