[StBernard] State fined?

OK everyone,

before this gets going- the discussions between the redevelopment commission
and the Road Home Corporation have begun in order to get a good read on how
cooperative the Road Home Corporation plans to be and how quickly they will
act on the mounting number of properties.

here is the big difference. Not only is it a public embarassment for the
Road Home Corporation if they do not respond but the Road Home Corporation,
the arm of the program that takes ownership of the properties is not a state
agency- it is a non-profit organization set up for the purpose of acquiring,
maintaining, and disposing of the properties included in the LRA's Road Home
program.

Without speculating as to the eligibility of fining vs. not fining, the
individual property owner is not exempt from the fines despite the state
having that status. Keep in mind that fines may be one issue, but like
other federal and state level agencies, the LRA is not exempt from law
suits.

God Bless,
Craig
