[StBernard] Craig Taffaro Yard Signs

Jer,

I am trying to be neutral in allowing messages for any candidate for any
office that St. Bernard residents can vote on to go through.

That being said, Junior or any of his minions are free to post a message
offering yard signs also.

As for the trash talking, that is one thing I will be on the lookout for.
That's why I stated the other day that any political messages will have to
be signed.

Anything that purports to be a "fact" will have to be able to be verified
through an online, reputable source to be allowed through. I won't take a
NOLA.com posting that links Ken Odinet to the Canal Street brothel, but if
the Times-Picayune reports it then it's fair game.

Chad, shouldn't you be paying Wesley for advertising? Others who push
products services are paying to promote their products, etc. I'm not
anti-Taffaro, by any means (probably because he's more charismatic than JR.
<G> However, is Wes's site a harbinger for promotion or support of one
candidate heavily endorsed over another? Since JR is running (and everyone
knows I'm not favoring his candidacy), is Wes's board one to support any one
candidate over another and he's not included? Should any candidate need to
use ad-supported sites (as any other biz does to support their product? (ex.
Lawyers, businesses). Should Wes site be neutral to all candidates and not
support "freebies" of lawn ad-supported signs?

I'm bringing it up because some would take "advantage" of FREE Ad-supported
boards while others have to push privately owned homes to place signs. (as
it's unlawful to inundate areas of public properties with one's signs, but
on privately owned lots/homes).

Aren't we going to get enough TV ads ruining our movies and soaps without
having to be faced with Ad-promotions of candidates, freely
endorsed/promoted while trash talk and bashing our favored candidates next
splash this wonderful communicative medium? Remember how nasty things get as
the election grows nigh.
