U.S. Congressman Charles Boustany Joins Mike Strain Campaign

Louisiana's U.S. House Ag Committee Member Joins Army of Reform



ABITA SPRINGS, La.- Mike Strain, a Doctor of Veterinarian Medicine and state
representative from St. Tammany Parish, proudly announced today that U.S.
Congressman Charles Boustany, a bold reform-minded leader who sits on the
U.S. House Committee on Agriculture, has joined his campaign to reform for
the Department of Agriculture and Forestry.



"Mike Strain brings professionalism and modern ideas to the Department of
Agriculture and Forestry. I'm pleased to be assisting his campaign and
efforts to refocus the Department on helping farmers utilize new
technologies and innovative practices," said Boustany.



"I am honored to have the endorsement and support of Congressman Charles
Boustany. Charles, like myself, is very focused on the importance of
agriculture to a thriving economy. He has served with integrity and has
proudly represented the interests of this state's agriculture industry,"
said Strain.



U.S. Congressman Charles Boustany, who represents Louisiana's Seventh
Congressional District, which covers the regions of Acadiana and Southwest
Louisiana, is a two term congressman who currently sits on the U.S. House
Committee on Agriculture which includes subcommittees on Operations,
Oversight, Nutrition and Forestry, General Farm Commodities, and Risk
Management.



U.S. Congressman Boustany will host a fundraiser for Mike Strain in
Lafayette on Saturday, August 11th.
