It's that time of the season.....election time.  

Isn't it amazing how political people can become this time of year.  Just
take notice of how many politians are trying not to ruffle the feathers of
JR.  Why are people so afraid of him.  He votes once just like the rest of
us.  Do they believe that he controls a large block of voters.   

I tell people to ask themselves: Are you happy with the progress in our
community since the storm and the direction it appears to be heading.  With
that in mind....go vote.

Is it my imagination or is Ricky Melerine absent for the vote by the council
on issues that the parish president is expected to VETO? In some cases he
was present at roll call but at the time of the vote was reported in the
council minutes as "absent"
