"Jer, You make some very good points and I would not want a governor to
favor any one place over another. He would need to represent all in our
state, but we do need more help and attention than other cities at this
time. So I feel any help we could get is based on need and priorities."

**Sure. EVERY candidate already is aware of the moral responsibility and
necessity of getting our major city and St. Bernard up and running ASAP. One
would have to have been either a fool to ignore it or doesn't know what it
takes or can't convince the nation what our needs entail. It's also about
BIG money and how to get access to it. There should have been more foresight
at the onset to make up for the chance that MORE people than less would be
qualifying for the Road Home and go after more money at the onset for
recovery projects as well instead of trying to continue going back to the
well many times.

"I was also bothered by Mr. Boasso's change of party. I'm sure his advisors
and campaign experts thought that was his best chance at victory."

**This helped me make an informed decision. Boasso's change of party may
have signaled to the masses that he was serious about non-conservative
issues and more aligned with that of the non-government of the people
(N-GOP) <G>. Firstly, people running for office look at their chances under
the front-runner. If it looks weak by comparison, you try a different
"angles". If he were only dissatisfied with the conservative party he would
have gone independent (Wesley) and not gone across party lines because this
signals political philosophy. Why would I jump to a liberal ideology party
in exception as to hold its philosophies so dear to my heart? There's no
sense in that. Also, he may have thought that 6% would be boosted to 20-25%
if he picked up black New Orleans (Mr. Nagin's favorite spawning ground) or
inner cities?). He may just do that as they are part of LA as well. He'll
probably pick up Mr. Nagin's vote as well as his supporters <chuckle>.

"I accept that reason. I also like Bobby Jindal. I think he's a stand up
guy. (But I'm no judge, I also thought David Vitter was a good guy and I
ended up disappointed).

**Well, Mr. Vitter answers to his family and God, doesn't he? Many of us,
however have done "worse". He's backslid and this doesn't make good as a
role model.

"I do not like the attacks against Mr. Jindal's religion."

**That's a low-blow by the Democratic Party isn't it? I wouldn't like any
candidate to start on one's belief to win votes. It's dirty pool at best.

"I also do not like the clown advertisement. So the mud slinging begins.
Laurie"

**Yes, a knee-jerk reaction or political strategy answer to "flying-dirt".
It seems in a food fight, you either throw the food back off your face, or
run like hell out of the cafeteria to keep your clothes clean.
