How sad that you people comment on things that you really know nothing
about. Our wetlands (our first defense against hurricanes) have been ruined
by the oil companies. You know the ones that YOU use to put gas in your car.
Also the natural gas you use for your heating and cooking comes from this
area also. If we were to move as you suggested you would be paying $6 a
gallon for gas never mind the cost of natural gas. Also you would have a
hard time buying most of the things you are use to buy because we are at the
mouth of the river which means NOTHING can go up river if we are here to
work the ports. So please do some research before you speak of things you
know nothing about. About federal $$$. If the federal government wouldn't
have been taking our money from the sale of oil (other states get 50%) we
wouldn't need federal money for anything. SO next time you want to make
these stupid comments ask yourself exactly what are YOU willing to pay for
us to shut down New Orleans or for LA to close her borders!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
