"The only thing that confuses me Jer is this, for someone so pro-life,
you're for war, probably pro-gun. Basically saying that woman have to have
kids so that the government can kill them? You are very much welcome to
follow your president and drink from the Bush "Kool-aid", I'll just follow
good ol' common sense." --Wendy.

What???????????? Wendy, I'm for peace. When in history has terrorists
(Hitler, Sadaam, Mussolini, Alexander, Caesars, you name it) been so
thoughtful as to quit their determination to rule the world with compassion
and peace talks? This is asinine thought.

No president is popular enough during wartime. He's made decisions (shaped
by his personal decision, through advisors <accurate or nay) that might not
be acceptable to the populace, but a necessary evil. Every wartime president
has those who are sick of war--because it's natural to want peace and
prosperity. However, this is a realists world in the reality where fanatics
rule the terror worldwide.

Perhaps these terrorists will listen to your pacifism. (but be prepared to
wear your Burka their presence <G>). These idiots do not care what we care
about peace and prosperity. They are hell-bent on using their
warped-religious translation to kill Americans and Jews. It's their mission
to death. (please, Wendy: do not stand too close to a radical when you're
convincing them that a dove or peace gesture would make them smile and
reciprocate with a peace lily! Again, astounding logic.

" Basically saying that woman have to have
kids so that the government can kill them?"

**Whew!! I haven't heard that. Did you make this up? <chuckle, but kiddin')
Would you join the service to fight or get an education? Would you be
recruited to keep the world peace or perhaps you view Government military as
a "World-wide ambition" to own the entire planet? If we wanted to own the
planet, we would secretly empty our nuclear bombs on every major country in
the world (also known as "radical Muslim ambition".

To go further, expect Iran to assume the "military position" soon and thumb
their noses in disrespect to a power much larger. This world will end in a
nuclear strife. As more and more decide they want to enter the "superpowers"
position race, it will be evident of any agenda planned.

I believe that in this brave new world you will not see a lessening of evil,
but alas, the otherwise. As there is a reaction, there will be a
counter-action to meet the threat to our liberties.

Again, I love Kool-aid, (and ironically, my favorite flavor is cherry red),
but follow your sense, Wendy. You're in for an unpleasant surprise to
believe we can just hide in a corner while this country gets infiltrated
with criminals, terrorists, and any other threat facing us exponentially as
time evolves.

Yes, by the way. I'm a gun owner and do not want to live in this society
without one (thanks to the 2nd amendment which offers me the privilege to
protect me and mine). Earlier this year, a "nice-upstanding guy" tried to
get in my home with a hammer at 4am. My protection offered me more peace of
mind facing a possible bludgeoning in my sleep. I was lucky, I guess, but
didn't try to talk him out of it by appeasement. You see, I can't fight evil
by offering the evil-doer a cup of coffee at 4 am.
