Violet man booked with convenience store robbery

A Violet man has been booked in connection with the armed robbery of a
convenience store where he allegedly fired a gunshot into the counter. 

Brandon Mosley, 24, of 2412 Elizabeth Court, was booked Friday with armed
robbery, St. Bernard Parish authorities said. 


Mosely is accused of robbing a convenience store in the 6200 block of East
St. Bernard Highway in Violet on Dec. 10. One of the victims of that robbery
said a man produced a chrome-plated handgun, fired a shot into the counter
and ordered the victim to "open the safe.'' 

The victim said the suspect began stuffing money from the register into his
pants pockets. 

Deputies identified the suspect as Mosley on Friday. He was arrested in the
2400 block of Jamie Court in Violet and booked him into the parish jail. 

Bond information was not available.
