Westly,
Anyone with pets  inside a residence/trailer/building should print one of
the decals that can be obtained online at:
 
  www.petplace.com
 
The decal list the number of dogs, cats or both that are residing inside to
alert the firemen and should be affixed in plain site on entrance doors or
windows.
 
I used a spray adheasive (found at any hardware store)  to put the decal on
the inside glass instead of on the outside where it would weather.
