[StBernard] Judge Seeber Bridge

This bridge has never been traffic-friendly and the Claiborne-N. Robertson
corridor which originally was a "sleepy-corridor" passageway was put into
operation to assist thru-traffic of the lower ninth ward and St. Bernard
Parish. Especially prior to Katrina when population was tripled.

The bottleneck-syndrome of traffic pattern during rush hours and lunch are
not a commute's dream by any means but the nightmare which is adhered to da
parish's displeasure as trash is a fixation of Waste
Management--hand-in-hand.

How/if/when the Florida Avenue Corridor expressway will alleviate congestion
is yet to be seen (although many find the idea promising).

Having a bridge out compounds da parish's frustration, indeed, increasing
one's frustration, stress levels and efficiency in both getting to work,
during their jobs properly and on the return home--mostly negative.

What the parish absolutely needs is a massive transit system from one end to
the other which runs two lines: one to the Central Business District and the
other to Metairie and eliminate the hazards, environmental concerns and
mental issues associated with single file, congestive transits.

Either that, or cities need reconstruction again of communities where
self-containment of parks, work, commercial business and homes are within a
5 mile radius or at least a walk of a mile or less. (which would help the
health issues duly associated with laziness, blood pressure, cholesterol,
heard disease and diabetes, etc.

Pardon for the expanded version of what it takes to improve our work, home
and health world in St. Bernard.

--btw, da parish could use an overpass over Paris Rd at Judge Perez <smile>.

Judge Seeber Bridge Closures:

It would certainly be nice if the red light at the St. Claude bridge at
Poland could be better regulated during the times that the bridge on
Claiborne is closed for repairs or someone to direct the traffic.
