FBI AND LOCAL AUTHORITIES SEEK PUBLIC'S ASSISTANCE IN IDENTIFYING BANK
ROBBER

The FBI, NOPD and Kenner PD are seeking the public's assistance in
identifying an individual believed to be responsible for more than one bank
robbery in the metropolitan area.

At approximately 9:30am today, a black male entered the Fidelity Homestead
Bank, located at 3720 Williams Blvd, Kenner, La., approached a teller,
displayed a handgun and demanded money. He was described as 6'-6'1" tall,
approximately 200 lbs, 35-40 years old, dark complected and unshaven. He was
wearing a tan colored nylon rain jacket and a tan baseball cap. He was seen
fleeing the bank on Williams Blvd. lake-bound on foot, and was believed to
have entered a dark full-sized, newer model pickup truck.

The same individual is believed responsible for the robbery of the Capital
One Bank located at 5696 Bullard Avenue, New Orleans, La which occurred on
Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at approximately 2:30pm. The image below is
bank surveillance footage from the Capital One robbery.

The robber got away with an undisclosed amount of money from both banks.

Anyone with information regarding these bank robberies is asked to call the
FBI at 504-816-3000, Kenner PD at 504-712-2200 or the NOPD at 504-658-5858.
The Metropolitan Orleans Bank Security Association (MOBSA) is offering a
reward of up to $5,000. for information leading to the arrest and indictment
of this bank robber.
