To avoid sore muscles during the playground re-build you may want to
participate in this "warm-up" activity!  Hope to see you there!

Reminder: 
  
The date has been set for our 2nd Clean Our Ball Parks Day.  It will begin
at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at Patricia Park, Center Street in
Arabi.  (Directions from Chalmette)  Take Judge Perez to Center Street.
Take right on Center Street and the ball park is a couple of blocks down on
the left.  Refreshments will be served. 
  
The plan is to begin at Patricia Park and move to one or two more ball parks
that day.  If you have any lawn equipment (weed eaters, blowers, rakes,
brooms, dust pans, etc.) and don't mind bringing it, we would sincerely
appreciated it. Some equipment will be provided. 
  
On behalf of the St. Bernard Recreation Corp. and Recreation Department, I
would like to take a moment to sincerely thank everyone who participated in
the first event at Carolyn Park.  It was a huge success. We had about 80
volunteers from St. Bernard and  out of state.  We cleaned the ball park,
cut the baselines, spread mud, cut down fencing, etc.   Everyone enjoyed
participating in  rebuilding "our" Community.
