Jer,

YOu couldn't have said it more eloquently. I miss home, with all my heart I do, but I have kids who need doctors and specialists that weren't as easy to find as before. I still think that the EPA in 5 years is going to have some huge problems facing them when they find people with complicaions from the oil spill and the benzene that was in it- the carcingene that is killing everyone from 9/11. DO I wish this on my family and friends, NO WAY, but my kids need me. SO my wants and wishes are held at bay until I know things are safe back home, doctors return, and I can rest knowing that if my kids sleep at a friends house I won't have to worry about mercury, mold, etc. WHile some have cleaned their homes better than new construction, you can never know if a contractor took a short cut, missed a step, etc. And I don't want to find out by one of my daughters (both were born premature and have lung issues) fighting complications of these ravages in a hospital that isn't there. We still have a house there and we are rebuilding, but I can't call it home again until I know things will be safe for my babies. So what does that say about me, that I turned my back on my home? No it says I have to sit here in ALabama and wait until I know things will be safe for the girls ad pray that I'm doing the right thing.

Wendy
