Volunteers who come for second and third times DO tell us they see a change.
Less gutting trash, more renovation trash, 
less trailers, more occupied houses, more slabs.
Last week I saw 7 houses being demolished in three days just by driving my
regular route for errands. six of those were right in my neighborhood.
less poop trucks, more poop tubes 
less swamp grass, more flowers, trees, and kept neutral grounds
less volunteer activity and more professional (looking) construction people
less tears and more laughter
less memorial and protests/complaint(cursing) publicities and more
rededication and opening functions
 
So I try to look at it through their eyes, as I might miss those things when
being here on a daily basis.
It was told in September 05 that the parish will need 10 years. It has been
3 and we are working on it.
I am thankful for that.
 
Biloxi is in Mississippi. Mississippi handled their road home stuff much
more efficient and faster.
