Thanks. I checked snopes, and they claim its true, although they cannot track the author. 
I never bought anything at Best Buy as several of my friends bought something, TV etc, and had trouble with the items, brought them back for 'repair' and did not even get a temp, were without the thing for weeks. Not happy.
