[StBernard] "We are no longer a Christian nation"

John, Exactly my belief, since America's CHOICE of design was constructed
upon Judeo-Christian beliefs. Even Muslims have a God. That is not
discredited nor debated. However, many feel that radical muslims are acting
upon Judeo-Christian desolation. The core beliefs of our country's
beginnings are in danger of obliteration.

The majority of the U.S. express their belief in the Almighty (Supernatural
being).

The chief idea in life is that when confronted and debated, the belief
system should always return to "basics". That being going back to core
belief system in America (and the world perhaps). This core system has its
basics/beginnings as mentioned.

It's not about tolerance as we all should believe in the American concept
that all should be allowed their own religious freedoms. No contest to that.
However, when a group of contributors to "change" takes his time machine
back to our beginnings, carrying a pick-ax, shovel and dynamite to eradicate
our core-systems set of beliefs established in the U.S.'s focused set of
values, beliefs, etc.

--those who are in favor of preserving America and its God will fight to the
death to preserve the status-quo as established.

What we must work on is liberal judges who choose to not "interpret" the law
but rob a President and Congress by executing laws for the minority and
"making laws" from the bench.

We should always remember: God doesn't change. Peoples' ignorant attitudes
do (to the detriment of humanity).

Jer,

Let me add a comment that Christianity in the religion itself - Catholicism,
Lutheranism, Methodists, etc. are the denomination of that one religion.
That being said, you are historically correct is those "Christian" beliefs
which are the fundamental foundation of every word you read in the
Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. After all, how to you
think the term "Puritan ethic" came about in our language. It just goes to
show how (and I'll eve add) "Judeo-Christian" beliefs built this country
from the government we established, the work ethic we believed in, and all
the way down to how people should simply treat one another.

While I absolutely believe in tolerance of any other religion to be
practiced in our country, I certainly have a problem with anyone who says
those fundamental beliefs should no longer serve as this country's
foundation. That then becomes an infringement on "my" beliefs.
