A Long Way Home: The State of Housing Recovery in Louisiana 2008


PolicyLink, a national organization that has been working on New Orleans
housing issues since Katrina, developed a report on the state of housing
recovery in Louisiana three years after the hurricanes. The report (click

are significant gaps in what people need and what people received.
Additionally, a homeowner advocacy group is working to get the State to
bridge the financial gaps people are facing in the Road Home program. If you

Levees.org 8/29 Investigation Campaign


Levees.org has spearheaded a campaign for an '8/29 Investigation', calling
for a third-party, independent analysis of the flood protection failures
during Hurricane Katrina. They are urging citizens to send letters to their
congressional representatives to support this initiative and they've created
a very easy way to help people take this action. Find out more about
