Its hard to know what the real holdups are on the hospital.  The townhall
meeting on August 18th seemed to help clearup some of the confusion.  Now
its not so clear again.

Last night's Council Meeting(Tuesday Sept 9, 2008)  tabled items # 12 and
13.  The council went into Executive
Session to discuss.

(12) Adopt Resolution SBPC #402-9-08 accepting the resignation of the
doctors currently 
serving as members of the Hospital Service District in keeping with Ethics
Opinion 
#2008-614 provided to Sen. A.G. Crowe on July 2, 2008 and hereby appointing
Drs. 
Bryan Bertucci and Paul Verrette as advisory, non-voting, members of the
HSD.

(13) Adopt Resolution SBPC #403-9-08 exercising the right given to the St.
Bernard 
Parish Council under R.S. 46:1053 M.2 to remove Drs. Bryan Bertucci and Paul

Verrette from the Hospital Service District of the Parish of St. Bernard, 
State of Louisiana for cause pursuant to Ethics Opinion #2008-614 provided 
to Sen. A.G. Crowe on July 2, 2008.

Motion to discuss Summary No. 2209 an ordinance creating a Hospital
Construction 
Committee in the Parish of St. Bernard, State of Louisiana, describing and
defining
 the boundaries thereof and appointing the five (5) Hospital Service
District 
Commissioners, the seven (7) Council Members, and the Parish President to
said 
committee.      (Council)

The Hospital Service District Board meeting is tonight, Wednesday Sept 10,
2008 at 7pm
in the council chambers.

Perhaps someone else with better information could try to explain.
