[StBernard] What defines a person? Your party affiliation according to Democrats

I agree, john.

In my experience, there are MANY Democrats that are great, caring persons.
However, in this grouping, I feel most are over 60 yrs. of age who could
recall the warm days of what I call non-contritionists (those who "opened
up" their perverse grouping (non-hetersexuals), and others who have embraced
the democratic party--but brought it to the extremist end of the perversion
scale). It also includes many Hispanics who are sympathetic to their
brethren illegals (not that Hispanics are in the evil category but because
they are they rising minorities and in 25 yrs. will surpass the Caucasian
population and voting numbers.

Those who are in the caring, wonderful portion of the Demo party include my
mother-in-law who has been a lifelong democrat when all these extremists
were not around or not allowed to vote. She claims the old adage/tales where
only Demos love their brethren, are only caring about the poor or
environment.

I could never convince her that the party of Lincoln has changed through the
decades and the party of Kennedy has changed into even more extremists as
well. These now called" super-liberals have one goal in mind:
socialism/Marxism and utopian ideals/beliefs. As I've spoken, my father's
party (of which I was a Democrat until Carter), that the factions comprised
have left the Christian-Judeo beliefs as folktale and have brought about
change all right. Now with the idea of "religion" being moved by the Supreme
Court and lawmakers to include demonism, Scientology, cults of all sorts and
atheism to the forefront as the "modernized, pop-cultured, embracement of
the masses, (having homosexuals/fallen in the priesthood and theological
ministries didn't solidify the Christian faith either) that party has
evolved unfortunately.

If there were a modern Sodom and Gomorrah it is the current state of
religions.

Those of us, however, who believe in God as our Creator and adhere to his
commandments know better, have conscience and free-will to choose to stick
with him at all cost (as was described by the Creator's inspirations and
Bible prophecies).

Back to the liberals. They mount and multiply like termites eating away at
the hardwood of our faith-based groups (especially Christianity who
faithfully believe in pro-life, non-homosexuality living, adultery being
evil and not fashionable, and the entire commandments of the Lord.
(especially Catholics and most Christians). (even Muslims have some of these
religious guidelines) although the radical ones (and radical Christians who
believe violence is the key) are the exception and not the norm.

CNN/MSNBS, ETC. not only have been promoting "Hollywood/liberal press and
states populations' beliefs over the past 20 yrs, but is more unbalanced
politically than the other stations. Along with pop-culture musical stations
as MTV, etc. poisons our youth and the "radical neo-carpet-bagging liberal
professions" who come into our southern schools to preach their ideology and
counter-Christian culture to our young collegians are as guilty as well.
They manufacture anti-Christianity hogwash which undermines our traditional
belief systems.

Again, there's a positive movement for revival away from present liberal
teachings toward the Christian-Judeo conservative root system, the liberals
will be cranked out of the universals at alarming rates (notice O-Bammma-a
is targeting the small-of-mind-less of conscience-inexperienced youth as
Hitler has done to increase their ranks?).

We may be too progressed liberally to turn things around and in about 8 yrs
of so, the numbers will favor the liberals for eternity until Armageddon.

-----------------------------------------------------
Folks, this is going to be one of those "see what I mean" commentaries.
Believe me when I say I try to avoid Bill Maher with every ounce of energy
in my body, but I dropped my guard tonite while channel surfing and
answering the phone at the same time. I hung up the phone just at the right
moment when actress Janeane Garofalo (a guest on the panel) made one of the
most absurd comments I thought an educated human being could not possibly
utter.

In the midst of discussion she blurts out "I think Democrats are simply more
decent people than Republicans." Yep, that's exactly what she said. She
went on to make the point that not only are Democrats more "decent human
beings" than a person who is registered Republican but that in itself
defines the person. Oh really? And you wonder why you hear people say
things like "Hollywood celebrities are kooks totally out of touch with
reality" or "out of touch with common people."

If I was on the show's panel, I would have responded with my best Dan
Aykroyd/Weekend Update impersonation..."Janeane, you ignorant slut." How
shallow it must be to be a liberal Democrat where you think a person's
entire being or worth is summed up the the political party he/she is
registered. If I were to define myself, to explain who and what I am and
what makes me the person I am, I would say...I am the product of my parents;
I am a Christian and God fearing man; I am a husband; I am a father; I am a
loyal friend to those I call friend. I could go defining myself in many
ways before I ever work my way down the list to arrive at "I am a
Republican."

But to you Janeane and everyone else who thinks as you do, I guess
everything else - all the imporant "other" things in life mean nothing. I
guess that's why it's so easy for you and those like you to easily (or
conveniently) overlook all the misgivings and shortcomings in the candidates
you support, while finding it easy to trash others simply because they try
to hold to something higher in life. It's quite obvious now you don't hold
"anyone" to higher standards - which likely explains the dramatic drop in
literacy and morals in the country over the past several decades.

Yes, Janeane, forget that I go to church, worship in my own private way
while not jamming my beliefs down someone else's throat, try to live and
raise my child by the same "decent" standard taught to me by my parents and
grandparents, and try to treat others with respect in a way how I would like
them to treat me. Yes, Janeane, forget all that because it adds up to zero,
notta - all because when I registered to vote I checked off a different box
from you on the Party Affiliation line.

That's right, YOU are the decent human being and I'm the worthless scum bag
because I decided to check off the Republican box while you checked off
Democrat. Janeane, I have but one question for you - if I run down to the
Registrar of Voters Office and switch my party affiliation to Democrat, will
I then be a decent person?

Janeane, in the famous words of Red Foreman (the dad on That's 70's
Show)...dumb ass!
