Public information meeting to be held Sept. 22 

at the St. Bernard Parish Council Chambers 

Wetlands Assimilation Pre-Design project to be explained

 

The Wetlands Assimilation Pre-Design Project Team, in conjunction with the
Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans and St. Bernard Parish will hold a
public informational meeting concerning plans to implement wetland
assimilation of the East Bank Sewage Treatment Plant and the wastewater
treatment plants located in St. Bernard Parish.  This meeting is intended to
provide an opportunity to learn about the Wetlands Assimilation Project and
our team's findings during the pre-design process.

 

The meeting will be Monday, Sept. 22, from 6 to 9 p.m. in the St. Bernard
Parish Council Chambers at 8201 West Judge Perez Drive in Chalmette.

 

The meeting will include a presentation on Wetlands Assimilation related
topics followed by a question and answer session. Technical subject matter
experts will be available to respond to your questions. 

 

Officials with Royal Engineers and Consultants will outline the process for
the public to provide their comments on the project. They will establish a
period of time for comments to be submitted to the Project Team after the
meeting.
