I agree! Now just what kind of story did the theieves use to make this seem
like a legit deal? The scrap buyers had to know that these were stolen
items and isn't it a crime to buy or be in possession of stolen merchandise?

Police said the scrapyard bought the vases, which were
engraved with
the
names of the dead, for less than 2 cents on the dollar
compared to
retail
prices. The 8-pound vases cost $600, but they fetched $9.60
each at
the
yard, which was paying $1.20 a pound for brass.





Shouldn't there be charges pressed against the scrap yard owner for
recieving stolen property, and maybe aiding and abetting
