St. Bernard Parish Recreation Department is holding its football homecoming
parade Saturday at 8 a.m. on East Judge Perez Drive. The public is invited
to join in the festivities.

The parade will start at Chalmette High School, head west from Palmisano
Boulevard to Tournefort Street, where it will turn around and return to the
school.

At 9 a.m., the Homecoming Court of 28 cheerleaders with football players as
their escorts will be presented at Chalmette High's Bobby Nuss Stadium.
Games will be played Saturday and Sunday, starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

Recreation Director Donnie Bourgeois said the homecoming events wrap up the
season that saw 250 players on 11 teams. The parish was able to host games
this year at the Hannan Football Field with more improvements underway for
next year.
