I agree with Vitter voting against SCHIP - and for the very same reason.
Vitter (and I) agreed with the program and the budget requested from the
program directors.  But Congress...I mean Pelosi, Reid and the rest of
Dem-witt Party, asked for in funding nearly TWICE of what any of the SCHIP
folks asked for.  Why did they do that?  Because they were looking down the
road to try and bring on illegal aliens and the like into the program - they
admitted it!

So naturally, Vitter and many other members of Congress voted against it,
while publicly stating they would vote FOR it if they reintroduced the
program under its orginally proposed spending budget.  But, the Dem-witts
through a hissy fit and wanted to reject the whole thing.

Moral: when you go to check out with the cashier and she says "that'll be
$10 dollars, are you gonna give her $20 and say keep the change?"  I don't
think so.  So, Senator Vitter voted appropriately.
