So what we have is a big mixed bag of zoning in the same area.
It's almost like placing one residential lot with a home inside of a
refinery.
The land for SDT is to the rear of the T & T Marine building and is
adjacent to Crew Boats Inc.
Not far east from the SDT proposed site was Cembell and certainly
with the vessels they fabricated the site must be more then commercial.
The New Orleans Dock Board actually owns the land that Wahoo's is on
and is leasing it to the occupants. Not sure what that zone is. It was
originally permitted as a marina with boat storage sheds and bar.
Possibly the land that SDT is proposing to use was some of the land
that was originally slated for the casino?

Prior to Katrina there were fabrication shops in the rear of the
Gulf Outlet Marina. In fact Kevin's Curbs resided there.

I'm not petitioning for or against the transfer station,
just don't understand and would like to hear the rest of the story.

After reviewing Craig's spread sheets on the debris and waste I'm
sure that he has the intention to perform a cost base analysis on the SDT
project as related to St. Bernard.

When someone crosses the green bridge they have no idea that the
mess that they see is New Orleans and not the entrance to St. Bernard.

Maybe St. Bernard should purchase that area, St. Bernard used to
supply there water and sewage prior to Katrina. But's this is another
challenge for the future.
