Deputies serving a seach warrant on a home in eastern St. Bernard Parish
discovered a trove of guns, including an AR-15 assault rifle.

The St. Bernard Parish Sheriff's Office said Thursday that two people were
arrested in connection with the search warrant. Kenneth King, 44, of
Louisville, Ky., and a 16-year-old boy were booked with possession of stolen
firearms. King was also booked with contributing to the delinquency of a
juvenile.

The Sheriff's Office said in a news release that three of the weapons have
been identified as stolen during a house burglary. Deputies served the
search warrant on Nov. 14 after investigators received information about the
guns at the home of a minor.

The teen lived in the home on Florissant Highway. King, who is a commercial
fisherman, was also living in Florissant, the news release said.

King and the juvenile have told investigators they found the guns.

People who are missing guns and can provide proof of ownership such as a
receipt or serial numbers can call the sheriff's Criminal Investigation
bureau at 504.278.7630.

The federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms is running a trace on
the weapons to determine where they came from, the news release said.

King remains in jail in the St. Bernard Parish Prison. The teen was released
on bond from the parish's Juvenile Detention Center, the news release said.
