Dear Members, 
I've just received some information about a Chalmette High student who was
recently diagnosed with Lymphoma.  Please read the story below.  Please
consider donating blood or helping this family however you can.  Take care.

Brooke Salazar, the sixteen year old daughter of Erin Salazar who works for
the St. Bernard Parish Clerk's office in Chalmette was recently diagnosed
with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. It is cancerous and she has two large  masses, one
pushing on her heart and one on her esophagus. Brooke is a junior at
Chalmette High School and a member of the Lady Owls softball team. She has
started Chemo and the emotional and financial strain is bearing heavily on
the family..... 
  
They are asking if donations of blood can be made in her name for treatment
at Children's Hospital in New Orleans. Brooke's blood type is A+. The family
could also use donations of books or magazines for Brooke while she
undergoes Chemo or gift cards to local restaurants for the family. They
especially ask for your prayers for Brooke and her family.
