"FEMA loan forgiveness is in the works

 

WASHINGTON -- FEMA announced Monday that it is proposing changes in its
regulations that would allow the agency to forgive up to $1.2 billion in
community disaster loans granted to hard-pressed communities and agencies in
Louisiana and Mississippi in the aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita."
