Louisiana Army National Guard Point of Distribution Exercise

Held in St. Bernard Parish

 

On April 4, 2009 the Louisiana Army National Guard in collaboration with the
St. Bernard Parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness
hosted a Point of Distribution (POD) Exercise. The exercise was held on the
grounds of the St. Bernard Parish Government Complex from 3 to 5 p.m. The
line formed on West Judge Perez Drive and signs were posted for the public
to follow. 

 

Col. David Dysart, the St. Bernard Parish Director of the Office of Homeland
Security and Emergency Preparedness, said he appreciates the public's
assistance with the POD exercise and he thanks them for making it a great
success. The Louisiana Army National Guard and St. Bernard are now ready to
help its citizens by distributing food and water in the event of any type of
disaster.
