St. Bernard Parish Councilman-at-Large Wayne Landry, who guided
the steps necessary to complete funding for St. Bernard's hospital and was
appointed by the remainder of the Parish Council as Hospital Project
Coordinator and Liaison, presided over the signing of the

The approximately $60 million project, considered crucial as part of St.
Bernard Parish's long-term Katrina recovery, is slated to begin construction
by the end of this year.
