Road work could slow traffic on Paris Road in Chalmette today, Friday

State highway officials are advising motorists of possible slow-downs on a
stretch of Paris Road in Chalmette through Friday.

Crews will be applying new traffic striping to Paris Road between Virtue
Street and Bayou Bienvenue until 5 p.m. today and from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Friday.

Motorists should expect alternating lane closures through the work zone, the
Department of Transportation and Development said in a news release.
