Middle School Field Day at Patricia Park

St. Bernard Parish President's Office hosts field day for 6th-8th graders

 

In continuation with the 'Game Night' series, the office of St. Bernard
Parish President Craig P. Taffaro Jr. will be hosting a Field Day for middle
school students.  All students from St. Bernard that are in the sixth
through eighth grades are invited to attend.  We encourage students to bring
their friends to help form the teams in which they will be competing.  

 

All competition will be friendly, but teams will earn points for each event
in which they compete.  Students will be competing in events such as
kickball, Ultimate Frisbee, Tug of War, water balloon toss, and various
relays.  At the conclusion of the day, points will be tallied for each team
and the winning team will have a grand prize for their team members.  

 

The Field Day will be on Saturday, May 9th at Patricia Park at 1809 Karl
Drive, the corner of Center Street and Patricia Street in Arabi.
Registration for teams will begin at 1:30 p.m. and games will begin at 2
p.m.  The field day will end at 5 p.m.  Parents are welcome to stay and
watch, but cannot compete in any of the actual events.  The event is free
and concessions will be available.

 

In order to enter, each student must submit a signed waiver form by their
legal parent/guardian.  Waivers can be found online at www.sbpg.net
<http://www.sbpg.net/>  under the Recreation Department, or at the
registration table.  Waivers are valid for one year from date signed.
Students will not be admitted entrance without a waiver.  

 

All events will have adult supervision.  If you would like to volunteer to
help at any events or have any questions, please contact Abbey Flaherty at
