St. Bernard Parish authorities are searching for a man they say robbed a
former co-worker at knifepoint, stealing $10,000.

Nativdad Garza, 23, of Honduras, allegedly set it up for the 31-year-old
victim to purchase a used Ford F-150 truck from another person in Chalmette,
said Chief Deputy Sheriff James Pohlmann of the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff's
Office. But instead, Garza allegedly robbed his former co-worker of the cash
on a Chalmette street the night of June 25. The victim lives in Chalmette
but speaks little English, authorities said.

Garza had been working the parish, authorities said. St. Bernard authorities
said they did not know Garza's immigration status.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Garza should call the St.
Bernard Parish Sheriff's Office at 504.271.2501, Pohlmann said.
