St. Bernard Parish to test emergency sirens throughout the parish

Tests to occur at 10 locations on Thursday, July 30



St. Bernard Parish Department of Homeland Security and Emergency
Preparedness is conducting its yearly test of the outdoor emergency
notification sirens, located throughout the parish. Sirens will be sounded
Thursday, July 30 for a maximum of two minutes at each location, and each
location will be tested at different times.



The testing is scheduled to be done at the following times and locations:



* Site 1 at 10:00 a.m. at 7814 W. Judge Perez Drive in Arabi.

* Site 2 at 10:15 a.m. at 2608 Palmetto Street in the center
of Chalmette.

* Site 3 at 10:30 a.m. at 5427 Paris Road in Chalmette, near
the St. Bernard Sheriff's Paris Road Sub-Station.

* Site 4 at 10:45 a.m. at 6705 East St. Bernard Highway in
Violet, near Willie Smith Elementary School.

* Site 5 at 11:00 a.m. at 1361 Bayou Road in St. Bernard
Community.

* Site 6 at 11:15 a.m. at 2325 Bayou Road in Toca.

* Site 7 at 11:40 a.m. at 2226 Florissant Highway in
Florissant, near the Yscloskey water tower.

* Site 8 at 12:00 p.m. at 4334 East Judge Perez Drive in
Meraux across from the St. Marie Street entrance to Lexington Place
Subdivision.

* Site 9 at 12:15 p.m. at 2604-A Lena Drive at East Judge
Perez Drive in lower Chalmette.

* Site 10 at 12:45 p.m. in the parking lot at St. Bernard
Parish Government Complex at 8201 W. Judge Perez Drive in Chalmette.
