St. Bernard Parish Community Forum on the MRGO Wetland Restoration

Aging



The MRGO Must GO Coalition will hold a St. Bernard Parish Community Forum on
the MRGO Wetland Restoration Tuesday, Aug. 11 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the
St. Bernard Council on Aging at 8201-A W. Judge Perez Drive in Chalmette.



The Mississippi River Gulf Outlet has always been a great concern to St.
Bernard Parish. Today, the MRGO is closed to navigation, but the most
critical step toward protection remains: restoration of tens of thousands of
acres of wetlands destroyed by the MRGO -critical community protection
against storm surge.



Join us for FREE Gilbert Melancon's Award-winning jambalaya and an open
discussion to learn about the current MRGO ecosystem restoration project.
Get your questions answered and learn what you can do to help move this
critical restoration effort forward.
