EPA Awards Over $300,000 to the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals


  

(Dallas, Texas - September 14, 2009)  The Environmental Protection Agency
(EPA) has awarded $322,000 to the Louisiana Department of Health and
Hospitals (LDHH) to implement the Louisiana BEACH monitoring program.  LDHH
will use the funds to implement the coastal monitoring and notification
program of the coastal swimming beaches of Louisiana, and will contract with
local entities to monitor public bathing beaches and notify the public of
monitoring results.
